..movies this year yg i missed in the cinema hahahaha

Green Lantern - actually not bad, not bad at all. Walaupun concept dia agak kelakar kena pakai cincin n charge kat lampu gawd it sounds soooo ridiculous in malay hahahahaha .. Most probably sebab Ryan Reynolds hihihi hotttnesssss pppsssshhhh

Thor - Another superhero movie.. Ok jugak la walaupun concept dia pun kelakar power di tukul kahkahkah the Thor is not as hot as Ryan Reynolds tapi perut perrgghhh if you enjoy superhero movies like superman batman ironman i think Thor is quite enjoyable as well..

These two movies, walaupun telah diketahui kekelakaran dan tak masuk akal punya concept  tapi yang tuuu jugak ditengok kalau agak2 bosan (selain cartoon movies for umar n how i met your mother for moi) ;)

movies i missed (n would have to miss out)

Semenjak ada cikonet, tak pernah lagi p tengok wayang. We actually stopped earlier before, during my pregnancy lagi. I dunno why, but i guess being a fussybutt i couldn't tahan duduk kat shopping complex lama-lama. Kaki tak larat wei. Everything swelled early into the 5th month so mmg by the end of it I ended up waddling like a penguin.

This year ada banyyaaaakkk movies yang i missed out in the cinema. Hubster made up for it with HD movie downloads so tak la rugi sgt. All that was missing is the popcorn. hrmmm... should have bought that microwave so i can make my own kan..

X-Men First Class - hmm oookkk laa.. tak la seronok sgt for me. not exciting enough to warrant subsequent watch (i'm known to watch movies again and again and again and again

Transformers Dark of the Moon - pun so-so.. takde rasa teringin nak tengok berkali-kali.. sebab takde megan fox? perhaps, walaupun dia cuma bimbo yang tak la pandai sangat berlakon.

Fast Five - punnnn tak menarik sangat.. eh aku tak suka banyak jugak movie tahun ni rupanya hahahaha.. i've watched number 4 much much much more times than number 5. eh number 5 tgk sekali je kut.

Kungfu Panda 2 - haaaa ni seronok :D and it's also Umar's favourite, apart from princess and the frog heheehe maybe he can correlate dgn baby po? perhaps, perhaps, perhaps ;P sebab baby po comel, macam umar hahahaha

Rio- This is my favourite for this year. B.E.S.T. best best best! love the movie, love the songs - Jamie Foxx punya suara mmg best, Party in Ipanema baby! n LOVE the collaboration with angry bird! at least lawa la, dari tgk babi-babi tergolek-golek kan..

Hangover Part 2 - I've said it before, I'll say it again. GROSS, GROSS, GROSS. tapi kelakar. tapi GROSS. Bradley Cooper hottttttt!!

Cars 2 - my son didn't seem to like it, and so did I. i guess we have similar taste ;)

Pirates of the Caribbean 4 on Stranger Tides - I don't know why but the movie seemed a little off. Not because there's no love story, no Orlando Bloom. no no no! Johnny Depp tetap chenta hatiku. tapiiiiiii MAKE UP yang off.. OFF GILA.. haih.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 - hmmm... i'm on the fence on this one. nak kata best sgt pun tak, tak best pun tak. some parts adalah sedikit kecewa, tapi some parts adalah sedikit teruja. see?

There's two more movies that i haven't watched - Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 1 and The Smurfs. Kena carik yang at least 720p baru cantikkkkkkk

And the latest that i would, again, miss, is SHERLOCK HOLMES A Game of Shadows. HWAAAAAA

Date Night

last night was a date night. umar dah balik bermanja dgn maktok awal2 lg kat kedah last weekend. i'll be heading back to kedah for raya haji so then only i'll be picking him up. but for now, it's back to being 2.

watched hangover 2 last night. super hilarius, but also superrrrrrr gross. i mean it. G.R.O.S.S. a little review, this time round it's stu's bachelor party gone AWWWFUULLYYY wrong. think thailand, thugs, transgender (gawd it looked like a lab experiment gone wrong!). enuf said.

but the highlight for me is this:

a few things:

1. trip to bandung telah berjaya. happy sangat dapat kirai duit dgn jayanya. not so much of sightseeing, loads and loads of shopping. but since its a family trip, 160kgs of luggage limit saved the day ;)

2. shuhada dah nak sampai dari egypt malam ni, yeay!

3. baru dapat tgk solomon kane and book of eli. verdict for both: SO-SO.

4. the shopping bug didnt leave even after bandung. heck when did it ever leave haha. shopped online and offline for more tudung, cosmetics and shoes. my current wishlist:

5. a colleague who juz had his 2nd kid, and another very pregnant colleague reminded me that, after kids, you'd want to spend more for them and wouldnt care much for yourself. with that being said, my parcels akan sampai next week, yeay!!!!

6. rasa dah lama tak balik sp, walaupun my colleagues noted that i balik kampung a lot. almost every month ada balik kampung trip, be it hariz's or mine. next weekend balik sp with my sista yo! durian fest!!

on mc again today. dunno if i'm gonna use my mc tomorrow.

maka sekarang berlingkar tgk g.i.joe utk kali kedua. not so bad. well a hot fella in an action movie is (almost) always interesting. n i couldnt believe its sienna miller until i watched she being a blondie part. and its the cute guy from third rock from the sun playing 'the commander'?!! besar dah budak tu.. cute! i've always been a fan of cartoons (still am) and g.i.joe didnt miss my attention. aku yg pelik sbb hariz tak ingat cne lagu katun g.i.joe tu, aku yg ingat hahaha (pls dgr kat youtube for the cartoon version) i've always wondered if they included the song in the movie. tp takde.

baru tgk the proposal during the weekend. sandra bullock is always a favourite in a comedy. sgt klakar. meleleh air mata aku sbb gelak masa scene she rapped lagu get low in the woods. that song used to be aired in hariz's car for quite some time when we're still dating!! brings back happy memories ^_^

yela, time summer ada summer flicks, tgh musim ni ada wayang keluar byk jgk kan.. jadik la autumn flicks kuikuikui

dah lama xtgk wayang. ada la 2 bulan gitu.. lama gilaaaaa ok. skrg nih wkend memerap dlm rumah. tgk movie yang dah download. org len nak kawen dgn anak raja, aku dpt kawen dgn raja jugak, raja download.. hahaha..

when i watched it, i can understand why this movie caused such a ruckus among parents who went to watch this with their kids. yg complain ke newspapers n whatnot kan. betul la pun. ada ka patut movie tu rating 'U' aje. its like private jokes gone public ok, rubbing ur privates to clients, sexual innuendos, etc etc.

on the other hand, org yg penah tgk movies yg produced by adam sandler's company should have known how his movies work. mesti ada : 1) lawak kotor, 2) lawak pengotor. if u can't stand even one of it, juz don't watch. i mean, even i sometimes cannot tolerate some of his jokes. u juz watch big daddy, billy madison, deuce bigalow (although rob shneider blakon, adam sandler yg produce), 50 first dates (yg uncensored) ada lagi 1-2 movie dia yg mcm tu. chuck and larry and the longest yard je mild sket lawak 1 dan lawak 2 (btw the longest yard rocks!)

and for gods sake, parents, tgk la trailer dulu nak bawak anak kecik tgk wayang pun, tgk la seswai ke tak nak bawak budak, dah tau bukan blh harap sgt movie yg rated 'U' kat mesia ni.. dah jadi cmni baru bising. eh emo plk aku hahahaahha

there are more movies yg included in the movie marathonsss that we did, mostly yg xsempat nak catch masa tayangan (summer movies lah yg byk nye), dan tgk iron man berulang kali blk. sukaaaa!!!

tgh contemplate nak tgk the other boleyn girl bila, put pnye review A, kena tgk nih. tp xtau wayang kat wayang ke, wayang kat rumah. hahaha... juz wait n see lor. kat umah dah ada deception yg telah siap di burn, hidangan utk weekend nih ;)

this week i've occupying myself with a couple of books when i'm by myself. thick ones. n yet i've finished both before the week is up. kena beli lagi... benci!

the two books i read was the 1st two in the twilight series by stephanie meyer. mmm.. boleh la. fascinating enough to urge me to buy the other two in the series. mmgnya aku suka crita pasal these bloodsuckers. since dulu2 baca anne rice and stephen king's salem's lot. apatah lagi bila tgk vampires in brooklyn yg ada brad pitt dan tom cruise itu (although i dint remember much of the movie) n queen of the damned yg ada stuart townsend yg sgt hensem, acting as lestat. gorjessss!!!

the first book of the twilight series is named twilight. its about a girl named isabella from phoenix who moved to forks in DC to be with her dad, n giving her mum some space with her new guy. she dreaded forks, as the place is always rainy, unlike sunny phoenix. there she met a family yg sgt pelik, the cullens, in school she enrolled in. pelik, as in sgt gorjes, graceful, but isolated from the rest of the school. one of the cullens, edward, was in her biology class. she was so drawn to him, as he was to her. the story goes that she finally know edward's a vampire from a clan yg doesn't kill people to live. a turn of event when they met a leader from a travelling coven, whose hobby is tracking his victim. and he, james, was very drawn to bella as well. a series of chasing ensued, james managed to trick everybody and lure bella to his choice of place. he managed to wound her gravely, but she was saved by the cullens and james was killed.

in the second book titled new moon, edward was still feeling guilty sbb bella was hurt bcoz of him. bella insisted that edward turn her into a vampire as well, since she's turned 18, but edward's eternally 17. tp edward x mo. he felt that he shouldnt be around her anymore, so the cullens moved from forks. bella jadik la meroyan skjp... sampai beberapa bulan cam xbetul. mcm zombie. kengkawan dia yg human awal2 tu try pujuk dia, tp sbb dia buat xtau, diorg pun jadi malas nak layan. lepas 3 bulan, bella try keluar rumah dan bersosial cam besa. dia jumpa jacob black, son of billy black whose truck she bought. they became close, since the first book pun aku prsn jacob nih agak smitten sgn bella. one day bella nih go into the woods. there she met laurent, from james' coven. dia ckp victoria, james' partner, nak bunuh bella sbb edward bunuh james. like, partner for partner la. suddenly a pack of big wolves came and scared laurent off. lps tu killed him.

nk dipendekkan cerita, the pack was actually werewolves, and jake (jacob) was one of them. jake n the pack pun dok patrol kawasan tu since they spotted victoria b4. bella went cliff diving, n almost drowned tp saved by jake. unfortunately the vision of her jumping off the cliff was foreseen by alice, edward's sister. words heard by edward, n he went to kill himself in italy by provoking an italian coven. bella and alice had to go to italy to tell him that she's alive. so edward was saved. but the feud continue that edward cannot stand that bella was friends with jake, a werewolf, vampire's mortal enemy. but they need to keep aside their enmity to save bella from victoria. cerita pun habis...

i know, i know, berjela2. kihkihkih.. tp aku mmg xpandai potong crita buat summary. n anyway, both books are like 500-550 pages each, i've left out enough as it is. xcrita lagi yg si bella tu clumsy tahap cipan, how gorjes edward is, how each of the cullens became vampire, how beberapa chrcter lain yg smitten dgn bella yg putih itu. n unlike most vampire stories yg potray them as night dwellers because they can be killed by sunlight, sleep during the day and stay up at night, the author made it that they can't sleep at all, n cant be killed by sunlight, they juz glow n shimmer like thousands of diamonds, sbb tu diorg pilih forks to live since the town dont see sunlight much. lain la skt kan...

hmmmmmm...

i wonder sapa yg layak jadi edward.. 6'2", putih gila, mesmerising voice, ensem gilaaaaaaaa. (i've been picturing stuart townsend when i was reading it, tp maybe skrg dah kurang seswai)

no wonder la i thought mcm terberenti smcm je when i watched the golden compass. then when i read the book, ei, byk je chapter diorg xcover dlm movie. n then when i googled it, i found this, the missing ending from the movie!:



btl la what ppl commented, the producer cut the story short sbb in the book, lord asriel killed lyra's best friend! maybe she reckons she won't make much money if she follows the book. nak untung pnye pasal, cerita pun jadi pelik.

hmmm. apa nak jadi..

i'd rather not talk about why i missed two weddings today. instead i'll juz pen in about the last book i read.

juz finished on the subtle knife, only 60 pages through the final book, the amber spyglass. the second book tu kelam kabut laaa. ada byk new character introduced in the second book, dr mary, will, stanislaus grumman (tp mati at the end of the book). there's one review yg said as what i thought: the second book suffers as the middle part of the story, being a wee bit boring as the author bring in a lot of little little things to justify the climax he'll throw into the finale.

i hope the second movie doesn't suffer like the book.

which reminds me of when i read LOTR versus when i watch LOTR. the middle part of the novel mmg dah starting to bore me, juz a lot of walking n climbing n ducking n whatsoever. tp the movie, i loved the second one the most!

bila cik abg ajak aku tgk 21 last sunday nite, i was like, citer aper tuh? xpenah dgr pooonnn... dia ckp citer tu pasal judi. ok fine, kitorg pun tgk (nih kes download citer la nih). rupanya xtayang kat mesia... dia dh tayang mac aritu lagi dah.. pastu fly fm baru sibuk pasal movie tuh pagi td sbb baru nak kuar dvd nye kt sini 22nd july. kihkihkih.. aku dah tgk!

overall the story was not bad la. strong cast, kevin spacey, laurence fishbourne, got kate bosworth oso. the main chrcter sgt cute! jim sturgess, surprisingly dah lama berlakon rupanya.. cek xtau.. cne blh xprsn actor comel cmni dah lama berlakon. kihkihkih.. tapi juz a year older ok!

but anyway, the story's about 6 MIT students trained to count cards to rake in millions of money in vegas. this is actually based on a true story tau.. sape yg train? kevin spacey as their lecturer. when the clan try to lure ben (jim sturgess) into their secret club, he was assured that its very safe, yadayadayada.. what he didnt know that mikey(kev.spacey) had a long history in vegas with the card-counting-hunter (laurence fishbourne) n one of the clanmember mmg penah kene bantai dah la dgn mamat tuh. dia pun dgn happy nye join the club.. n took in lotsnlotsnlots of money. i was like, waaahhh... terernyeeee.. kagum seh..

kesimpulannya, kalo korg2 nak tgk lelaki yg sgt comel dan sgt bijak, tgk la citer nih.. hehehe.. n oh better catch that other boleyn girl nnti because he'll be in it too! enjoy (cuci mata)! ;)

in a way, i think guillermo del toro is trying to also potray the human side of the not-human-looking superheroes tuh... falling in love, n when helpless n in despair, drink themselves silly n started to sing sappy love song.. can't smile without u, can't smile without u.. lalalala.. sedap la lagu dia actually... hehehe.. barry manilow kan.. mestila..

my favourite things...

last weekend was well spent, i suppose, with events n coccooning at home.. attended hariz's new nephew's majlis cukur jambul in putrajaya (will upload piccies later), had a little (unexpected) reunion with a former classmate, aimi there.. her lil' bump is starting to show oredi... so cute lar.. :) she'll be venturing out from her parents house soon... juz a lil 2 cents from me, it's gonna be messier now ur living on ur own, more things to think (or like me, worry) about, so be brave, n have fun living together yeap!

darling nephew was bawling right before the event, but made the grand entrance quite quietly (thank god!!) and riiiiigghhht after the event, he started crying loudly again! huh, talk about perfect timing... pandai betul!

had a taste of this season's durian (finally) courtesy of PIL yg teringin nak mkn... mahal seh kat kl nih durian nye.. but i'll say, the best durians are those u get from ur own dusun lah..

haiii... time ni lah nak rindu blk umah... best nye kalo blk sp mesti byk durian kat umah abah angkut dari dusun (kalo angin durian tu baik byk la buahnye, kalo x, selamat la...) note - aku tukang makan je, yg p kutip adik2 laki lah, aku malas, byk pacat, takut!

with my PIL n younger BIL safely back in trganu, baru la ribut petir hape sumer lalu dalam umah tuh... bersepah la blk mcm biasa.. mags n novels n cik abg's shirts merata2.. hehehe... i was safely in my coccoon (right in front of the tv) for the whole day on sunday.. what i did:

read a book

i found an old novel by stephen king in mph last week, his first compilation of short stories called 'night shift'.. i read the book (my uncle's) like 100 times already ok.. but when i saw it i couldn't believe my eyes that they reprinted it, it was a 1970's punye publication! yeay yeay! so i visited the good ol' times thru the book.. best best!

the irony - someone ask, eh anis ur so afraid to watch hantu movies tp u like to read hantu stories ah? so pelik one.. ;)

baru nk tgk atonement.. yawwwwnnnnn,.. sgt bosan... i don't really dig la movies cmni.. sgt slow.. n anyway, steamy ke kiss scene tuh.. i read in the reviews ppl are like whooaa... sgt penuh chemistry the kising... maybe aku xmenghayati nye kut (more probably i was already sleepy)

maybe movies like that juz don't suit me - i did sleep through russell crowe's beautiful mind, heck, i slept through 'seven', and that was brad pitt ok!

byk woo summer movies nk kuar... (rambang mata) mana satu nih nak tgk.... so much for trift-spending during economic crisis these days... throw down the drain la (like my diet oso) haiyaaa....

in july ni lagi la, every week ada je citer best... on the 3rd hancock kuar... (i personally think will smith has one of the best looking bod around for african american category... hence the excitedness) keeping my fingers crossed that it won't disappoint me like 'i am legend' (aku xsuka tgk citer hero mati ok)..

hellboy 2 will be out on your's truly's birthday on the 10th (along with 2 other movies, no less)... nak tgk!!!! (tgh pegang borang cuti nih ;)) been waiting for the sequel for ages oredi ok... i heart action n fantasy movies... been keeping movie stubs since i start dating my hubby... tebal gila ok... kalo blh convert blk duit tuh beribu2... kehkehkeh..

on the next 17th, the dark knight will be out... i personally think that the batman begin was a bit so-so, not so bad la... tp i was hoping i can catch this sequel sbb i thought the joker looked quite promising... pastu baru tau rupanye heath ledger kan si joker tuh... lg la nk tgk kan... pastu heath ledger mati la plk... LAGI la aku nk tgk...

there's two more reputable movies to be noted, due on the 24th is the mummy 3, and on the 31st is the much coveted Sex and the City.. tp i'm not so excited about it (probly bcoz there's no hot-looking guy that caught my eye, kehkehkeh.. n i personally think apart from her always fabulous shoes, sjp's red carpet dress always seems like she wants to be 10 again, so no, i'm not her fashion fan) so i'll juz give them a miss (or download for that matter)

i went to watch get smart too.. yg ni pun sgt klakar.. he's not a bumbling idiot like pink panther's insp. Clouseau, he's smart (his name implies that much lah) tp maybe skema kut... tu yg klakar...

since i'm kinda bored oredi with updating different stuff in separate places, my facebook n friendster n here as well, i decided to move any movie or book review i feel compelled to write on from friendster to here.. so here goes another one..

went on a date to watch prince caspian the other day.. no actually not to watch it specifically but juz to shop around n ended watching the movie in between shopping.. i think it is safe to say that the movie is 'safe'... not that interesting tp not that it makes u snore in public either... but then again its hard for me to fall asleep in cinemas so i can never tell... hehehe..

well, the prince is easy on the eyes (to think that he's my age! ;)).. tp kinda naive n i dint fancy the accent.. its somewhat like the previous movie la... nothing to go ga-ga about... tp i can tell u one thing... its actually better than the book... which is totally opposite from what usually happened - i.e. u read the story n have high expectations when u head to the cinema, n end up disappointed when the movie is not ambitious as u want it to be (as happened to me everytime i go to watch the first few harry potter movies) sorry c.s. lewis but i prefer adamson.. the one character i liked most was the totally cute mouse warrior chief 'who' always throw in a nice remark whenever needed... kinda reminded me of the cat in shrek 2..

most of the time if i want to watch a movie i always read what 'the star' has to say about it... they were ruthless when it comes to giving stars to newly released movies and they were usually right... n for this movie they were right again! well the reviewer stil liked lewis better than adamson but he's right on it being forgettable.. u can read the full review here...

iron man!!!!

dah lama gila ok since i went to a proper wayang.. being a lazy bum that i am, i always asked me dear cik abg to download n burn movies or series that i wanna watch (see... even THAT pun i dint do...i juz watch.. lol ;)) juz cuddle n go on marathons of desperate housewives (i practically dragged my dear abg to watch these with me for hours) n house n supernatural n bleach n naruto plus movies during weekends..

last weekend was one of the more exciting weekend of my mundane n routine life... we watched ironman (duh... wayang je... i told u my life IS mundane)!!!!! i dint plan to watch this movie out of the dozens summer releases for this year, but i'm glad i did!! it was surprisingly good.. robert downey jr IS THE MAN!! he's definitely in his elements.. a very good potrayal of tony stark.. the outfit superb too!! the technology mmg far-fetched la... tersgt la canggihnye, but its a comic character anyway so who cares if it makes sense or not... hehehe... n technology for weaponry dah sgt evolved oredi, its juz that its not publicised so much, we sometimes overlooked it.. who knows if the pentagon or secret service or mossad or taliban or kgb or north korea or any body build yet another spying or asssasinating device or jets with mach 15 or nuclear bombs out there....???? ok ok skrg aku dah melalut... lol.. so back to the weekend...

i oso went for mph booksales on sunday morning.. thanks to miss farina i overspent my budget for books this month... kehkehkeh.. but honestly i'm really glad i went... thanks babe! a lot of books were on sale n the biggest bargain that i grabbed was a compilation of narnia stories which retailed at rm79.90 n sold there at rm18..yeay for me!!!

next stop for this weekend... (hopefully can go!!!!! (batting my short unmascara-ed eyelashes) pweeetttyyy pweeeasssseeeee!!!)
