tema tahun ni: PINK. lagi. hariz dah pakai pink last year, tp sebab dia tanak beli baru so pakai yang lama saja. ada dua baju melayu yg pink, but the one he'll be wearing is a peach-toned pink so no, its not too harsh for my darker-than-me abang sayang. aku je la baju baru nye :D

we'll be back on raya eve. tu maknanya malam ni atau malam esok. my PIL will be at our place while we balik sp. awkward? u bet. tapi nak buat macammane, sebab both my BIL and hubby tak balik trganu la my PIL raya sini. so, i can safely say this phenomena will happen every other raya.

kuih dah abis sebalang kat rumah. tapi takpa, makan dua org. eheh. hariz mkn lagi byk dari aku. aku tgh pk dodol kat tepi sungai stesen teksi sungai petani niiiiihhh... ahhh lazat, tapi mesti la takde time aku balik. aaaaarrrgggghhh!!!

oh dear, its been sooooo long.

lately i'm not feeling any inclination to write anything here. but on a few stuff:

1. did watch iron man 2 eons ago. BESSSTTTT!! dan all the downloaded ones berlambak2jugak. tgh tunggu shutter island nih :)

2. OUR THIRD ANNIVERSARY!!!!! juz had dinner at TGIF since we had to work that day. had a pleasant wake up call come midnight, but i'm not telling ;D

3. weekends are fully booked starting this week till end of june for weddings. every week orang kawin wei, n those are ones that if they'r not close to me, close to hariz. or else close to both of us. mana mau lari??

4. mak pesan to ease off the dinners. bila dah pesan tu pulak rasa susah ya Rabbi. what with those kenduris all lined up. dah la bulan 4 n 5 ni penuh dgn aqiqah invites. kat fridays tak la makan sampai tersadai, tapiiiii appetizer, my main and his main semua cheeeeezzzyyy. the kinds that go straight to my hips and butt. adoooiiii... pastu esok nya makan kat big brother's pulak???!!

5. kena bersiap sedia. mlm ni ada wedding! now where's my girdle....

1. baru tengok new moon (HAHA!) and cirque du freak. honestly i can tell u i enjoyed cirque du freak more. i really wasnt wrong about new moon, although it followed the book to a T, but since its according to the book, it's bleh. haha. i know, complicated.

i've seen a lot of darren shan books on the shelves but everytime i fiddled with it, i put them back, knowing it was for teenage read. but then again, bah! twilight saga is also for teenagers ;)

2. tgh contemplate lagi bila nak p tengok solomon kane and alice in wonderland. i'm gonna pass book of eli (on cinema) since the reviews are not so favourable.

3. of course, i haven't told u guys about my (big) baby's birthday. nothing unusual, but i should've gotten those pix from my sis. the ribs at Big Brother's are HUMONGOUSSS!!! n sooo fleshy n juicy n yummy. keep your eyes peeled on NST because they're making a review of the restaurant. a columnist was there the night we were dining (a frequent visitor, according to hadi, the owner) n if u ever see the review, that's our ribs on the pic! :D

yep. for those who hasnt known, i'm officially a very old kid yesterday. dapat chicken pox you! hahahaha

i've had a chilly episode on tuesday, which led to me getting mc on wednesday. since then my temperature had gone up and down with paracetamol ingestion. dr pointed out that it was viral, that i had to do blood test if the fever didnt break by the third day.

well on the third day was my lucky day. spotted a blister! but i thought it was juz a normal blister, sbb tgh poke blisters on my feet hasil pakai heels baru ke ofis.

so here i am now, stuck at home being a queen bee, faithfully ingesting acyclovir to prevent the worst (especially on my face!!!)

the worst is, hariz juz came back after buying 4 Avatar 3D tickets for us when i showed him the spots yesterday. terpaksa la lelong tiket tu. seb baik my 2nd cuz nak beli, kalo tak melayang duit.

so many things passed my mind which made me think, oh, i wanna blog about that, tapi last2 ada dlm kepala je.

1. tak sabar gilaaa nak tunggu sherlock holmes. robert downey jr is soooooo hot!!

2. tgh pk2 should i put new moon in my must-watch list. in my honest opinion, new moon ialah buku yg paling tak best antara 4 buku twilight (walaupun ok la jugak, tp kalo nak compare that 4 kan). but i must say, this twilightbeauty's palette in rosalie is soooooo pretty!!! i want i want!!

well, no worries ladies. dah ok dah. at least as of now. i'll make sure i'm a whole lot better b4 farina's openhouse. karang kecik hati mek kalo aku tak p, kan kan kan?

we were in trganu for a week, then i head to kedah alone while hariz came home in KD. dont blame him, blame the hospital. gila nakkkk jugak buat stock take time org nak beraya.

mak bagi resepi kek coklat baru. moist sgt. sedap. hari aku sampai rumah dah dapat makan.

alangkah bahagia.

aku pun dgn penuh bersemangat nak buat lah jugak. birthday hariz was up n coming (then - yesterday lah he turned 27). so, semlm lps subuh aku pun membanting tulang kat dapur. mak masak x habis2, aku dok bertanya x habis2. nak buat kek coklat lembap la katakan, buat keja pun ala2 lembap jugak lah.

jgn risau. kek turned out ok. enak lah dimakan begitu sahaja. tp aku bab2 topping ni xtau kenapa sllu saaannggaaattt lah susah nya. bukan x penah buat. ok je. resepi sama je.

dunno what went wrong, but the topping turned chewy! series gila korg buleh gelakkan aku. mak aku siap tinggal chop jari dia atas kek.

mak ckp: ha elok la tu, tinggal kat atas meja topping tu x la cair meleleh2.

meleleh apa. bila dah potong tu, dia buleh congeal balik ok. gila terer.

solution: letak pinggan atas kek. angkat semula pinggan tersebut, topping akan ikut bersama. voila! kek sedia dimakan tanpa topping.

DISASTER!

tapi series, kek resepi mak sedap. eheh.

my weekend post

yuhuuuu... sedih ni. sale dah abis... huhuhu... weekend was jampacked, xsempat nk shopping puas2.

friday night went to peon's solemnization. u can read more at farina's place. aku pegi straight from work as hariz abis keje pukul 6 sthing. tp kalo tau about 9 baru start we'd gone back home first n freshen up. kesian hubbs, by the end of it at about 12 cmtu, he looked as if the lorry has run him over. tp xpe busuk2 pun laki aku jugak ;)

but anyway, the event was nice and smooth, the bride looked very gorgeous n sgt lah excited, pose apa yg dia x buat for the camera hehehe. but the groom wasnt outdone in excitedness, akad sekali je, laju nk mati plk tuh. nampak sgt seronok nk kawen kan hehehe xpa2 understood2, mmg sgt seronok nak kawen :D jenuh bagi signal ke peon suruh2 dia buat malu2 skt atas pelamin tu. dia dok sebok bat her eyelashes ke cameraman blkg tok kadi. si tok kadi plk xperasan the bride was behind him, not behind the groom (which is sofia, who tok kadi mistaken as the bride. buleh x?). that, was hilarious. anyhoo peon, u looked absolutely radiant, and u n zeff made such a lovely couple. so happy for uuuu!!

the next day i couldnt attend peon's reception kat umah sbb hariz keje. tried to make fist-sized meatballs tp x berani, takut toaster oven aku terkejut. maka buat la meatballs sebesar fist baby hehehe. lps mkn a very late lunch with hariz, we made our way to one utama for last minute shopping. pukul 6 baru sampai (walaupun rumah hanya sekangkang kera from ou). haruslah parking mcm nk mati cari.


nk tgk outlander, tp xjadi since available seats were like 3 rows from the screen. xde laki hensem, maka xde makna nya nk tgk dekat2 cmtu kan. we went on n shop3, sempat jugak la ke our fave place and grab some stuffs. then mkn waffles pada pukul 9.30 mlm. mana la x kembang segala maknenek yg ada pada badan aku.

we also bought a lil something for my sis since she got 7A 2B for her PMR. i say, ok lah tu, buleh sambung lg kat skolah tu. spm lagi penting kan.

come sunday we went to reception at zeff's side. aku buleh x perasan address zeff tu rupanya selang sebaris je dgn umah cousin aku. hmpeh. ye je kata x tau jalan, padahal dah penah pegi. hampeh.

after this i got loads of things to do, at work satu hal, at home, mana nak sort out baju nk let go lagi (since aku menggemuk dan xmengurus kembali lagi pun) buang barang2 yg x pakai, n start packing skt2, in between that sempat lagi nk balik trganu, si hariz balik mengundi. ada sapa nak pesan sutera terengganu? aku bab bab shopping ni laju aje hehehe

what did i miss on the NY eve??!!

korg sllu selebret new year ke? me n hariz, being on the quiet side, xpenah p celebrate new year on the eve itself. whenever 31st dec comes, we make sure we arrive home before 8-9pm, so as not to get ourselves stuck in the massive traffic. n we definitely made sure we avoid LDP this time, alang kan jumaat mlm pun dah sesak kat dpn OU/the curve tuh, ni kan plk new year eve kan. after work we had a quick drive through kat mekdi, pastu headed straight home. we can actually watch the fireworks from our windows actually so xla miss apa2 sgt. tp tahun ni x dapat tgk.

i slept through all those chaos.

my throat was burning, n i was feeling in perpetual need to hurl out all the things i've eaten (bubur ayam je tp), so i juz zip my mouth shut to clamp down the nausea, laze on the couch while attempting to watch pontianak harum sundal malam since hariz asyik dok menghadap pc main fallout 3 dan x layan manjaan aku.

devoid of attention, i fell asleep on the couch. n didnt stir one bit. mind u the couch was right beside the window, n kalo time2 cmtu (CNY ke deepavali ke merdeka ke or in this case new year lah kan) sgt la bingit nye dgn karaoke dan mercun2. tp aku xdgr satu mende pun. tu pun terjaga at 4sthing sbb x solat isyak lagi. nasib baik bangun, kalo x ter miss satu dos ubat, then i would have to start the course all over again.

the next day hariz ckp actually nk kejut tgk fireworks tp kesian tgk lena sgt maka dia x kacau. hmmh.. alasan.. x dpt tgk fireworks... hwaaa!!!

we planned to go out n spend a bit more b4 the sale ends but end up spending the day at home je since both of us dilanda demam (dan aku la yg mengada2 xlarat la hape la kan).

dan makan bubur nasi extra halia dgn ikan bilis goreng kicap sepanjang hari. mcm org tgh pantang bersalin. heh. tp sedap je aku blasah hehehe

tp arini dah ok. maka bersemangat utk p nikah cik peon dan en. zeff pada mlm ni. sori peon esok aku xleh p reception kat umah ko sb hariz keje. ahad kat umah zeff tu aku p okeh!

baru sebok nak tulis post arini. sebab we all nk pindah maka internet kat rumah xsambung dah, hariz was thinking of trying to use wimax n see how it goes. maka, mengupdate pada hari bekerja sajalah hehehe..

cuti2 digunakan sepenuhnya, went to solemnization (friday) n reception (saturday) of adi n farizwan. eh no, this is not a guy-guy situation ok, adi is a girl. she was there for me during my solemnization, in fact she camped at my place for a few days before my day, sgt terharu ok, dtg dari shah alam ke sg petani juz for me n hariz. pastu aku angkut plk dia ke terengganu to be my pengapit kat sana. for that i'm eternally grateful.

xde pic, sbb xbwk kamera, bateri hp pun ala-ala hidup segan mati x mahu. seb baik byk kameraman kat hall tuh buleh la aku suruh emel ke aku. tp cik adi sgt cantik time reception. aliah dan aku jadik dayang peneman si adi kat umah dari awal pagi. pepagi sabtu tu pukul lapan aku dah tercongok kat shah alam (mcm p keja pulak, chett). yg kelakar, sbb elok2 je kunci rumah (padlock biasa bukan solex ok maka xperlu anak kunci), yg pengantin perempuan baru teringat dia tertinggal kasut kat dlm rumah, si pengantin lelaki plk tinggal keris dia. bijak kan pasangan pengantin ni? dlm ati aku haaaaa elok la korg kawen dua org

pastu dah on the way to the hall makcik2 pakcik2 baru decide pengantin dua org tu naik merc .. kalo x, si bride berhimpit dlm kete viva, si groom dlm kete kancil. kesian.. org terlupa transport diorg. tp after all those chaotic moments, sampai je kat hall pkps tuh everything fell into place.

to ms adilah, congratulations babe! baru semua org tau yg kamu sgt cantik kan, kitorg dah tau lama dah.. hehehehe.. welcome to the club! :)

i'm back. for good now. no more travelling until raya haji, i suppose.

yesterday everything went very smoothly, all thanks to mama's very detailed, all-laid-out plan. me n hariz, sbg ahli jwtnkuasa door gift dan menyambut tetamu, naturally dok kat luar. poor hariz had a sunburn line on his forehead (thanks to his songkok), not that he needed any more tanning. me, apart from a bit of red flush that can be seen today, i'm all good (yeeahhh riggghhhttt, padahal kena naik umah by two, setelah almost 3 jam kat luar. migraine, panas sgt. saya kan puteri lilin!)

food was marvellous, home cooked, mind you, not catered. kari daging sedap gilaaa!!!

then after kenduri me and hariz lari dari rumah, jadi tour guide abah to masjid kristal. dgn x tukar baju lagi, busuk masam dgn muka berkilat kitorg p masjid tu hahaha.. org pun pandang2 kitorg, hariz dgn baju melayu (nasib baik dah buang sampin) aku dgn baju kurung riau (pink!) french lace, courtesy from my MIL. nasib baik aku gemuk, kalo x ppl wd say menantu lama was trying to steal the limelight! ;)

kitorg xsempat (n x larat) nak tour taman tamadun islam yg ada byk masjid replika tuh, although kat luar nmpak sgt cntik, ppl yg suka architecture sure will dig this punya lah.

cuti lagi hari ni (mcm minggu lepas).

packing (again) for a weekend trip (again). going back naik firefly (again!!). same time plk tuh flight hari ni dgn last wk's friday. sa.ma.se.bi.jik.pe.gi.ba.lik.

the only diff is that this wks theme is pink for the family, and mak abah will be around as well, together with 2 bros and 2 sis.

attempted to write a few things, but they ended in the draft after a few sentences. i guess writer's block finally got to me.well what to do... a girl gotta do what a girl gotta do kan..

so. recap on a few things.

cuti on last friday. packed a few things to bring back to mama's place in terengganu. juz one bag for two of us, including stuff yg mak kirim to mama. good! i never thought i can manage to pack little (i usually pack a lot, like kalo blk seminggu tu mcm blk sebulan! :D) but we ended up hauling two more paperbags into the flight, sbb bawak balik benda penting - sirih junjung untuk hantaran. nasib baik la daun2 dgn bunga2 tuh x berkecai.

next, abg emi's (my first BIL) nikah on saturday morning di masjid terapung. BIL berjaya akad on the third attempt, alhamdulillah.. but back in the car, his two younger bros were celebrating, like, 'kita menang, yeay!'(my second BIL succeeded after his second attempt, while my darling hubby succeeded after his first!) i guess boys will be boys kan, they'll always compare to that, among other things... ;)

next. wedding reception on the bride's side. a bit of time miscalculation. terlupa abg emi's wife not a veil wearer, so ppl terlupa take into account time utk set rambut. no matter. the wedding was lovely nevertheless. aku jadi pembawak dulang jugak walaupun xrupa anak dara pun.. nasib la labu... kuikuikui..

hariz's cousin mentioned that our nephew, fawwaz, look more like him rather than his father (my 2nd BIL). aku ckp, mentang2 la si kecik tu sepet n gelap skt cam laki aku... hahaha.. and that night, we went through hariz's photos masa kecik n whaddaya know.. mmg sebijik! well, then kitorg blh curik dia la skjp buat jadi anak kalo ada org tnya dah ada anak belum... hehehehe... ape2 la labi..

balik kl yesterday afternoon, arrived in subang airport at about 2. n yet aku dan hariz cuti lagi hari ni. why? nak kata letih, naik flight. nak kata x letih, hhhmmm.. letih jugak rasanye. lps smpai subang terus p open house kawan hariz di shah alam. then blk umah, xkeluar2 dah smpai skrg. figured we can go sort out a few things today. tp poor baby had a nightmare i suppose last night. kejap2 bangun, lps subuh ni baru tido elok skt. ni pun x bgn lagi. biar la kejap lagi eh..

kids do the darndest things

my youngest brother mmg sangat nakal. even my arwah tokwan, yg biasanya ingat the first half of his cucu of his thirteen children only, remembered him. 'anak hang, en..' (my father - 'en' as in 'enjin', not in 'encik'), he always said, sambil geleng kepala. tgk muka pun tau nakal.

as naughty as children are, they actually know when they do something wrong, despite what we adults (i stil consider myself adolescent at heart!) might think. kalo buat salah tu pandai plk nak sorok.

this raya, as usual dia order la mercun2 segala dgn paklong. berlambak ok. berplastik-plastik mercun bola, yg besar plk tuh. xmain la bola kecik2. abis serata kampung dia campak. baling dlm bendang org (petak xde padi la, dia pun xde la x pk langsung hahaha), balut dgn lumpur pastu campak ke alur sungai smpai bergegar lantai umah, bubuh dlm sabut kelapa, tin susu, mcm2 la inovasi dia. dah ada suami cousin aku plk nak melayan, naik sheikh la dia pun. siap lawan baling mercun dgn budak mana ntah. kat kampung kan, xde la polis nak merayau time raya 1st.. hahahaha..

pastu blk rumah dia main lagi. aku dah ckp, 'hang ada berlambak tu, sehari 3 ja. cukup la nak main 30 hari'. tu pun sbb dia dah abis kan 20 lbh biji kat kampung. ada dia nak dgr? takdeeeeeee... dah ada geng, berdentum-dentum kawasan taman aku dibuat nya. dah la kawasan xramai melayu pun. aku pesan dgn dia, space out sikit baling mercun bola tu, kuat, takut bunyi byk2 skli bising, polis dtg round. yg mercun lain2 xpe la, x bising. dia main jugak.

skali ada bunyi kereta dtg dekat dgn rumah. apa lagi, mencicit la dia dgn geng (cucu2 jiran aku) lari p sembunyi kat tingkat atas umah aku, sempat lagi angkut dgn plastik2 mercun. 'POLIS MAI, POLIS MAI!!!'

aku dh mmg kat dapur, hariz p la tekan remote pagar, dan dgn selamba nya tgu depan pintu rumah 'la.. td x dgr pun siren...' smbil senyum kambing. aku dah cuak. btl ke polis? biar betul!
















rupanya adik aku si safwan balik dari beraya. cis!! penat jantung aku!

aku pun lupa dia keluar dgn kawan... kete semua dah ada kat umah so of course la xtau kan keta sapa yg dtg. budak2 yg bersalah tu pun turun la dh dgr semua org dok gelak. haaa... tau takut!!

SLAMAT HARI RAYA!

fuhhh.. baru blk dari kedah pagi semalam. sampai umah around 1 sumthing. sori la x terupdate blog ni, blk kedah asek sebok makan.. hehehe.. n to nobody's surprise, i gained back every tiny grams that i shed during fasting month, all in a week! *seb baik x turun 10 kilo pastu naik blk sumer tu... heee.. ngeri...*

this raya is my first with my family as a wife, since last year we celebrated raya in terengganu. it does have a different feel to it, i tell u. but i cant really point out what it is. but it feels good to be back home, with all my siblings around. i was glad that hariz seem to have enjoyed raya in kedah. risau jgk takut dia sangap dok kat rumah ke hape. nasib baik he wasnt, sllu distracted especially by the abundance of food! mmg madness la... byk gila mkn.. laksa, briyani, mak's fruit cake, mi kuah, nasik minyak, not to forget all those lemang, nasik impit kuah kacang, n my favourite ketupat pulut hitam n serunding ayam & daging mak... oh sedapnyaaaaaa...

ouh, and this year i was reminded of my love towards kuih makmur yg sgt lah sedap menjilat jari, n a newfound love towards cik farina's kuih cornflakes. i like! hariz pun asek berulang ke dapur amik kuih cornflakes, last2 dia angkut dgn balang2 skli pi mkn smbil tgk tv. farina, nak order lagi!! :)

my weekends are all mapped out for this month, sbb this weekend n the next i'll be over in terengganu for my BIL's nikah n wedding. enjoy ur raya everyone! ;)

we've been wanting to try it out since its opening a few months back in pyramid, sbb mama (hariz's mom) sgt suka mid eastern cuisine n we were thinking of bringing her there, but never had the chance. baru2 ni hoong seng ajak... so ok lah. :) we took the buffet, which costs us 60 ringgit plus plus after tax per person. being an avid lamb eater, naturally hariz sgt suka lah mkn kat sini bcoz of the abundance of lambs (aku ter pk sheep counting skjp).

tp seriyes, setapppp!! the chicken khebsa sedap, lamb pasta sedap sgtttt, and the baked lambs sgt tender n juicy. n don't get me started on the mohalabia, sgt lah sedapnyaaa, i had two! mohalabia is a sweet dessert, like pudding of some sort. i've tried some elsewhere, but the one in tarbush was oh so divine! it's texture reminded me of italiannies' creme brulee which is of course my fave, sgt rich n creamy. i like!

the downside of this tarbush (they had branches in front of lot 10 and somewhere at starhill if i'm not mistaken) is the waiters yaaa... sgt lah blur nya. bile cek the booking record for us, xde designated table reserved. seb baik la smpai awal so we picked the table outside at the patio. n then this waiter, he's been putting on the cutleries on every empty table yg org book tuh ntah bila nak smpai, kitorg punya table smpai kena mintak baru dia perasan xde cutleries. n most of the buffet food dia x refill walaupun sekali, dah abis katanya. yg tuh mmg xbest, sbb xsempat amik lamb pasta n fish fillets byk2 skt. tp tu lah, aku pun xmkn byk sgt, rugi amik buffet. awal2 tu mmg ingat nak order a la carte je, tp teringin plk kan. nasib baik hariz blh cover portion aku. hehehe..

but all in all, it made hariz ajak aku ikut mak (my mom) blk saudi! enuf said :)
